Hello, dear Reader.
For most of November and December, I will be posting [have scheduled, actually] book reviews I’ve written over the last two years and published on my previous blog, A Healer’s Geste. Thus I am both moving content I want to keep and giving myself a further postpartum blogging break.
However, there will still be new content once or twice a week. How, after all, could I resist posting baby pictures? So never fear, aunties, there will be baby pictures.
However, in October I started a new project after several people’s encouragement and a thorough Google search that demonstrated it hadn’t been done. Now that I am weaning off the heavier pain meds but still must take life easy, and with the extra long baby-holiday homeschooling break, I might actually finish it by my January goal. Of course, now I will be typing one-handed with plenty of breaks to inhale baby breath, one of my favorite smells in the world.
In January I plan to launch my second eBook: How to Create a Paperless Home Management System: A Guide to Digital Home Organization.
I have been moving my own set-up to be digital and paperless for over a year and am quite happy with my current permutation. The eBook will be a how to guide to setting up an underlying organization system, not an explanation of how to work the system like 31 Days to GTD for Homemakers. It would be analogous to the many posts out there on creating a home management binder or file system, but digital rather than paper.
What really excites me is that I have found a way to make the set up intuitive to those accustomed to using a binder and it works and syncs between devices regardless of the computer or devices you use. Moreover, it is not dependent on apps, and the applications used are freemium – they are free unless you want to pay for additional storage and features. It works on Apple products, PCs, laptops, Androids, and whatever combination of those you might own.
