Capturing contentment by rightly interpreting everyday chaos.

Pretty, Happy, Funny – Real Life

We’re all living and learning and mostly getting along swimmingly these days, though sleep is not consistent and meals must be. I’m working hard at reimplementing routines and reinstilling my own housekeeping habits that I lost over the coarse of pregnancy and newborn stages. It’s tiring but worthwhile.

Geneva

Miss Poochy-Lips. Isn’t she the cutest little thing? She has the hugest round blue eyes.

Books

I rearranged the books a bit and brought the school and browsing books up into the living room to encourage more leisurely pouring over them.

Since they’ve been in the basement and boys’ rooms, I’ve noticed less browsing happening. Moving them upstairs where they are in view and near the comfortable furniture has definitely increased how often they are grabbed.

Cuties

These are my cuties with their cuties.

They call Cooties “cuties,” and it makes me smile, even when the legs are always all over the house.

Spot-It

Everyone enjoys Spot-It, even Geneva.

Geneva also provides Daddy with a slight handicap for the game.

Hans gives a thumbs-up to the Sloppy Joes on homemade buns.

While trying to get some food photos for Simple Pantry Cooking posts, I caught this one. I like it.
