1. Homeschooling

This was break week, so there was no recognizable homeschooling. Piano practice continued, but there was much more playing – including programming time on Khan Academy. My 8 and 6 year old both finished their math books last week, but have an xtramath score goal they must reach before they move to the next book, so they both chose to do xtramath 3 times this week – and the 6-year-old beat the goal!

We went to the pumpkin patch and a new park, there were extra friend play days and extra room cleaning.

I made the seasonal clothes switcheroo and cleaned up the aftermath – that was my primary accomplishment of the week and it feels good to check that box.

The Homeschool Chat this week with Dawn Garrett, Kortney Garrison, Melissa Greene, and Virginia Lee was a lot of fun! Thank you to those who joined us live and kept the conversation going. If you missed it, you can access the replay here.

3. Podcasting

Next week is the podcasts’ “break week.” Season 2 is a 7-episode season that will begin October 17th & 19th.
